Hasegawa 1/12 KAWASAKI KH400-A3/A4
The Kawasaki KH400 is a Japanese sports touring motorcycle that was first presented to the public in 1974. A year later (1975), its serial production started. In the KH400-A7 version, the motorcycle was approx. 2.03 m long, 0.82 m wide and 1.13 m high. The track width was 1.365 meters. The vehicle in the ""dry"" configuration weighed 162 kilograms. The drive was provided by a single 3-cylinder engine with a capacity of 400 cm3, capable of generating a power of 38 HP. The KH400 model is, in essence, a further development of the Kawasaki 400S motorcycle. Compared to its predecessor, it differed primarily in changes in the design of the engine, but also the manufacturer himself positioned it on the market (especially in North America) slightly different than the 400S model. Undoubtedly, the great advantages of the Kawasaki KH400 were the high-quality engine with great work culture, very well configured with a 5-speed gearbox. At the same time, the driver, even at full speeds, kept full control of the machine, as the KH400 model had no tendency to over- or under-steer. Great performance and high-quality workmanship made the KH400 model, and especially the A7 version launched at the end of 1979, a cult status.
