Description
1/200 Lufthansa Boeing 747-200 - 50th anniversary of 747-200
Although the first of three 747-100s was handed over to Lufthansa in 1970, the success of the jumbo jet at Lufthansa really began with the more powerful 747-200, which went into service a year later. In 1971, fifty years ago, the "Baden-Württemberg" was the first of a total of 21 examples of the 200 series in passenger service with the German airline.
This special edition in the classic Lufthansa livery has numerous unusual details, including individually used landing lights or a removable landing gear held by magnets, which further underlines the elegance of the jumbo in flight. A robust metal stand is also included and ensures that the metal model stands securely.
