1983 was the year of the Lancia 037. The vehicle swept up five World Rally Championship first place finishes and over a dozen top ten finishes to come out the unquestioned victor of the year. Not bad at all for a car with just a four cylinder engine! Victories were achieved at Monte Carlo, the Tour de Corse, New Zealand, and Sanremo. The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft.
