More than 170 individual imprints and over twice the usual production time are needed to transpose one of the most astonishing special liveries in aviation into the 1/400 scale. Icelandair has created a unique color scheme with snow-covered mountains and the polar lights that poses a great challenge in the 1/500 and even more so in the larger 1/400 scale.

The range of aircraft model types, operators and scales from Herpa is vast and the quality is exceptional. All Herpa Wings models feature detailed printing of aircraft liveries and markings. The detailed shapes of the models have been produced according to drafts provided by the manufacturers.
