Why this airfield base matters
A realistic display base can transform a model aircraft from a standalone piece into a complete aviation scene. Airfield bases recreate the environment where aircraft operate, allowing collectors to showcase fighters, bombers, transport aircraft, and reconnaissance aircraft in a setting that reflects real-world operations.
The 1/72 scale is one of the most popular aircraft modelling scales in the world. This makes the base suitable for a wide range of aircraft from different eras, including World War II, Cold War, and modern military aviation subjects.
The detailed runway and apron markings help create a more authentic presentation. Whether you display a jet fighter preparing for take-off or a historic warbird parked on the tarmac, the base adds context and visual impact to your collection.
How to use it
Place your 1/72 scale aircraft directly on the base to create an airfield display. Use it in display cabinets, on shelves, at exhibitions, or as part of a larger aviation diorama. No assembly, paint, glue, or modelling tools are required.
This is a diecast display accessory. It is fragile and not recommended for children.
