More than 100 copies of the Mi-8 were in service with the former East German armed forces. After reunification, almost 30 examples were grouped together in the newly established Army Aviation Squadron East. In 1993 the last examples of the Soviet helicopter were decommissioned. For the fly-out, the 93+62 received this unusual special paint finish.
