Description
The Renault 4 CV was unveiled at the first post-war Paris Motor Show in October 1946. Designed amidst the bombings and completed in a still rationed France, engineer Ferdinand Picard's "one car for everyone" became the vehicle of regained freedom and a better life. The 4 CV, a family car and city car at the same time, a small, robust roadster, simple and inexpensive, became the first French car to be produced in more than one million units: 1,105,547 in a 14-year production run.
