The C6N1 was a slim, aerodynamic, three-seater reconnaissance plane fielded by Japan towards the end of WWII. With top speeds equal to that of the best Allied fighters, it was physically impossible to catch up with a well handled and maintained C6N1. Fortunately for the US, by the time these carrier aircraft arrived on the scene, there were simply no carriers left for them to operate from. Many were converted into night fighters for shooting down bombers, but the original recon role was obsolete.
