About this product
The Navy's all-weather heavy hitter.
Grumman's A-6 Intruder combined a robust airframe, advanced navigation and attack systems, and a large weapons payload. It became one of the US Navy and Marine Corps' principal strike aircraft during the Vietnam War, entering service in 1963 and remaining in US service until 1997. The A-6E was the definitive attack version of the type.
Hobby Master models A-6E 151105, "Devil 501", of attack squadron VA-196, embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Independence.
