About this product
A second Intruder from VA-196's carrier line-up.
Grumman's A-6 Intruder combined a robust airframe, advanced navigation and attack systems, and a large weapons payload. It became one of the US Navy and Marine Corps' principal strike aircraft during the Vietnam War, entering service in 1963 and remaining in US service until 1997. The A-6E was the definitive attack version of the type.
Hobby Master models A-6E 151686, "Devil 505", of attack squadron VA-196, embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Independence. It makes a natural companion to "Devil 501" from the same squadron (sold separately).
