About this product
Stars and stripes at Mach speed.
To mark the United States' 250th anniversary in 2026, NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards, California, repainted two of its jets in a red, white and blue "Freedom 250" scheme. F-15D N885NA was one of them. The paintwork was completed in Spokane, Washington, in early July 2026, and the aircraft flew in the Freedom 250 flyover over Washington, DC, on 4 July 2026.
NASA has flown F-15s at Edwards for decades as research platforms and chase aircraft. The fins retain NASA emblems on the outer faces, with a thirteen-star "Freedom 250" emblem on the inner faces. This model pairs with the matching NASA F-18 in the same scheme (sold separately).
