About this product
A Fifth Air Force Warhawk from the New Guinea campaign.
The P-40N was the most-produced version of Curtiss's P-40 Warhawk, and a mainstay of US fighter units in New Guinea. The 8th Fighter Group spent much of the war there, with its 35th Fighter Squadron flying P-40Ns in the Fifth Air Force's campaign along the island's north coast.
Hobby Master models "Cyclones Flying Circus", flown by Lt. Glen "Gabby" Holder, as it appeared in early 1944: olive drab with the white tail used as a Pacific theatre marking.
