With the ability to fly in all weather and a heavy payload, the carrier-based A-6 Intruder proved invaluable during the Vietnam War, when it was operated by the US Navy and Marine Corps. This attack aircraft’s advanced navigation systems made it able to fly at low altitudes through mountain valleys and avoid radar-guided enemy missiles.

The VA-52 “Knightriders” would become the most decorated Intruder squadron in the Vietnam War. The unit operated Intruders from 1967 to 1994.

This diecast metal model comes in 1:140 scale with plastic stand and is approximately 4 3/4 inches (12cm) long with 4 1/2 inch (11.4cm) wingspan.
